Good day.
It is a privilege to address you at the 2025 Nigerian Oil and Gas Opportunity Fair — a vital platform for investment, collaboration, and indigenous growth in our energy sector.
On behalf of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, I extend warm goodwill and commend the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board for its continued leadership in championing Nigerian content and local capacity development.
NCDMB’s commitment to creating opportunities for indigenous players is helping reshape the structure and future of Nigeria’s energy landscape. Across our country, we are witnessing the unstoppable rise of Nigerian energy champions — from the world’s largest single-train refinery built with African capital and vision, to local firms acquiring onshore joint ventures once held by international oil companies. These are more than milestones — they are markers of a nation in transition: from dependence to production, from extraction to value creation.
This is the Nigeria President Tinubu envisions — a country that produces, builds, and leads. But let me be clear: local content is not the destination. It is the pathway. What matters is not just policy — but performance. Every dollar invested must translate into jobs, every project into prosperity. The value must stay here — in our communities, in our companies, in the hands of our people.
We must stop exporting our potential and start industrializing it. Let Nigerian steel go into our pipelines. Let our engineers, welders, and innovators power this transformation. Let our young people see a future here — in Nigeria.
The Renewed Hope Agenda is not abstract. It is about building an energy sector that works — for Nigerians. One that finances roads, powers hospitals, drives industrialization, and creates sustainable jobs in Yenogoa, Warri, Port Harcourt, Uyo, Calabar. So, as you deliberate over the next two days, I urge you: let us measure success not just in barrels, but in impact — in the value we retain and the futures we build.
Thank you.
